Tragically, a 21-year-old resident of Nederland lost his life, as authorities reported, in the aftermath of an ATV accident on Wednesday.
The incident unfolded along Texas 87, near the juncture of County Road 3110, under the scrutiny of Texas Department of Public Safety troopers.
According to preliminary inquiries into the crash, at around 3:34 a.m., a Kawasaki ATV was journeying northward, intersecting paths with a southbound Nissan Versa.
Sources from DPS relay that the ATV veered into the opposing lane, leading to a collision with the Nissan.
Regrettably, the ATV’s operator was pronounced deceased at the scene by a justice of the peace.
Identified as 21-year-old Kaleb Harvey of Nederland, his life met a sudden and tragic end.
Remarkably, the driver of the Nissan, recognized as 51-year-old James Pennington of Newton, escaped unharmed from the ordeal.
