Kayla Trujillo Death News: Beloved Members of Wyoming Highway Patrol, Kayla Trujillo Sadly Passed Away

Today we said goodbye to one of our own during the celebration of life ceremony for Wyoming Highway Patrol Commercial Carrier Officer Kayla Trujillo, who passed away unexpectedly while off duty on April 6th, 2024.

With her passing, Officer Trujillo leaves behind three children and many other loved family members and friends.

Officer Trujillo started with the Patrol in 2019 as a Commercial Carrier Officer at the Sheridan, Wyoming, Port of Entry and was regarded as bright, spirited, and well-liked by both coworkers and the truck drivers coming through the Port of Entry.

North Region Port of Entry Manager Robert Haugen said that many regular drivers through the port looked forward to working with her.

“She was professional, friendly and great at educating the drivers. Whenever she’d talk about her kids, she would light up,” Haugen said.

Words fall short of expressing our grief for your loss, as we mourn with family and friends for this great loss. We are truly sorry to hear of the loss of this promising being.
