Mary Flanagan Death News: Former Dublin Lions Basketball Club Manager, Mary Flanagan, Passed Away

It’s with great sadness that we learn of the passing of Mary Flanagan. Mary passed away in Saint Vincent’s last night.

Mary was not only a stalwart for the Dublin Lions Basketball Club but would also be seen at Ireland games officiating and the Dublin Masters Basketball ensuring smooth running.

Everyone at Basketball Ireland would like to extend our deepest condolences to Megan and the Flanagan family on the passing of Mary Flanagan.

Mary’s willingness to give up her time, equipment and expertise to help table officials, players, clubs, referees or any member of the sport will be remembered for a long time to come.

Mary Flanagan, who devoted her life to Dublin Lions Basketball Club as a manager, table official, volunteer, Friend and so much more, sadly passed away peacefully in St. Vincent Hospital yesterday evening, surrounded by her family and friends.

The Dublin Lions would like to send Megan, her daughter, Lucy, her granddaughter, extended Family and friends our sincere condolences.

Mary You have touched so many people in the basketball community and will never be forgotten and You will be sadly missed by all your Dublin Lions family.
