The Rock County Medical Examiner has released the names of three people killed in a major crash last week.

Around 12:04 p.m. on April 13th, police said a van headed eastbound on East County Line Road approached Highway 12 but failed to stop and entered the intersection, colliding with an SUV with the right of way on Highway 11.

Officials said the collision caused a truck with a fifth-wheel trailer hauling hay to also crash into the front of the van. Police said three occupants of the van were ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

They have been identified as Jeffrey Turnipsee, 67, of Whitewater; Ericka Berg, 38, of Whitewater; and Jamie Ranguette, 39, of Whitewater.

The female driver of the van sustained non-life-threatening injuries, as did the man who was driving the SUV. The driver of the truck was uninjured.

Four additional passengers from the van were taken to a nearby hospital. One of the female passengers was taken via Med Flight with life-threatening injuries. The other three, two men and another woman, have severe injuries.

No criminal charges have been filed.
